Lepe Country Park

CITiZAN will be returning the Lepe Country Park to record the remains for the preperations for D-Day. This time we will be working with the New Forest National Park authority and we will be building upon their detailed survey of the area thus providing a monitoring element to the weekend.

You will get an opportunity to record some of the best preserved D-Day remains on the south coast by undertaking a baseline survey and photographic survey. You will find out more about the D-Day remains and the story of Lepe Beach.

There is car parking (though parking charges do apply) and facilities avaliable at the countrypark including toilets and a cafe, however participants should be aware that the walk to the remains is c. 20 mins from the facilities along a shingle beach.

The event is free to attend but booking is essential, should you have any queries please contact ABellisario@mola.org.uk or call 07817 386 199, booking can be done via eventbrite
