Hooe Lake Devon

 

Join the South West team for a two day vessel recording session using the hulks at Hooe Lake in Devon. We will be teaching you how to use our app to monitor features on the foreshore and how to use simple archaeological survey techniques to create detailed site plans.

More detailed information will be sent out prior to the event but a rough itinerary is as follows:

Wednesday 14th June:

10:30 Meet

10:45 - 13:00 Classroom Session

13:00 - 13:30 Lunch

13:30 - 16:30 Practical session on the foreshore

Thursday 15th June

10:00 Meet

10:15 - 12:00 App training session

12:00 - 13:00 Lunch

13:00 - 16:30 Practical session on the foreshore

16:30 - 17:00 Debrief

Everyone who attends will receive a certificate of attendance and a CITiZAN edition Archaeology Skills Passport. As with all CITiZAN training sessions, there is no cost for attending and no previous experience is necessary.
