Events in 2018
CITiZAN archaeologists are holding events all around England. Come see when we'll next be in your area and join us!
- Come and join the CITiZAN team as we investigate the remains of the South Shields Seaplane Station. The Royal Naval Air Service operated the site for experimental craft, stopovers and patrolling the north-east coast. We plan to explore the area the station once sat upon, recording and documenting as we go, and train attendees in basic archaeological recording and the use of our free app.
- For the third year running CITiZAN have worked with University of Brighton second year BA Art students on their faculty option Land and Sea in which they reflect on the coastal landscapes of Sussex. This exhibition presents their work. The opening of the exhibition is on Thursday 22 February 6pm and you are welcome to join us! The exhibition runs until Sunday 18 March 2018.
- Come and join the CITiZAN team as we investigate the remains of the Crosby Battery, which once protected the northern approaches to Liverpool. We plan to explore the area the battery once sat upon, recording and documenting as we go, and train attendees in basic archaeological recording and the use of our free app.
