Join CITiZAN North this December in Formby for a unique training opportunity. The team will be undertaking a survey of wartime structures within Formby Nature Reserve. The main focus will be upon recording a surviving Second World War era QL decoy crew shelter.
Attendees will be provided with full training in the use of the CITiZAN recording app, along with a chance to learn a range of other archaeological recording techniques. No prior experience is required.
The event will take place on 17 December, running from 10am until 5pm. Meet at the Formby library, L37 4AN, to head over to the site. This event is free but booking through Eventbrite is essential.
Sensible footwear and clothing is required as we will be working outside for a significant proportion of the day. A packed lunch will also be required.
