The land to build New Brighton was purchased in 1830 and it was hoped the town would rival the regency splendor of Brighton on the south coast. By the 1930's the town had the tallest building in England, the largest lido in the country and a fabulous pleasure pier. Sadly little of this seaside splendor now survives. Join Citizan to help record what remains.
