BRITISH LANDING CRAFT TANK, 1944

LCT 1029 struck a mine and sank off the coast of Skegness on 16 January 1944. At least 9 people died and 3 were rescued.

LCT 1029 was built by the Stockton Construction Co. Ltd of Thornaby on Tees and launched on the 7th of December 1943.
